
The Worcester Railers made a splash on Friday afternoon as they re-signed forward Jordan Kaplan for the 2025-26 season. Kaplan, 28, is coming off a career year where he put up 18 goals and 31 assists for 49 points in 68 games. He also finished second on the team with 108 PIM. Kaplan has established himself as a top-six forward for the Railers. Kaplan becomes the 15th forward and 20th player to sign with Worcester for the 2025-26 season.
The Bridgewater, NJ, native is entering his fourth season in the ECHL, having spent time with the Adirondack Thunder, Norfolk Admirals, Reading Royals, Newfoundland Growlers, and Savannah Ghost Pirates. He’s put up 44 goals and 69 assists for 113 points in 206 games. During the 2022-23 season, he played six games in Germany3, putting up four goals and six assists for 10 points.
“I really made Worcester a home last year,” Kaplan said. “This season coming in, there should be no hesitation… It’s a win now mentality. We’re taking that to the next level this year and I’m excited to be a part of that.”

Kaplan began his career in the NAHL, where he spent one season with the New Jersey Titans. He had 23 goals and 33 assists for 55 points in 52 games and would be named to the NAHL All-Rookie Team. In eight playoff games, he had four goals. Kaplan would then head to the NCAA, where he would spend four seasons. He spent his first three years at Sacred Heart University, where he put up 25 goals and 31 assists for 56 points in 107 games. Kaplan spent his last year of eligibility at the University of Vermont. In nine games with the Catamounts, he had a goal and an assist.
