
Trois-Riviéres Lions forward Justin Ducharme is heading to the EIHL to join the Fife Flyers. He will be joining former Lion Charles-Antoine Paiement. The 25-year-old began the season playing in Slovakia and Czechia, where he put up four goals and three assists for seven points in 23 games. In 49 games with the Lions, he put up eight goals and 20 assists for 28 points in 49 games. He would add five goals and five assists for 10 points in 21 games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Ducharme is the sixth member of the Lions to take the overseas route since they lifted the cup.
The Mirabel, Quebec, native has spent parts of the last four seasons playing in the AHL/ECHL. In 195 ECHL games with the Idaho Steelheads and Trois-Riviéres Lions, he’s put up 50 goals and 80 assists for 130 points. In his one season with the Steelheads, he put up 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points in 43 games as the Steelheads would win the Brabham Cup. Ducharme’s best season came during the 2023-24 season, where he had 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points in 68 games. He has nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points in 51 career Kelly Cup Playoff Games.
He’s seen 22 games at the AHL level, which included 19 games with the Laval Rocket during the 2021-22 season, where he had five goals and two assists for seven points. He also had one assist in three games with the Texas Stars the following season.
QMJHL Career
Prior to going pro, Ducharme spent parts of five seasons in the QMJHL. He would put up 75 goals and 57 assists for 132 points in 199 games with the Acadie-Bathurst Titans, Chicoutimi Saguenèens, and Val-D’Or Foreurs. He would add six goals and 15 assists for 21 points in 39 QMJHL Playoff games. The Titans would win a Memorial Cup Championship in 2018.
