The Florida Everblades have brought back defenseman Kade Landry for the 2025–26 season. The puck-moving blueliner re-joins the club following a promising ECHL debut last year in Florida.

Strong Rookie Season in Florida

Landry appeared in 44 regular-season games for the Everblades during the 2024–25 season, registering two goals and 17 assists for 19 points, a +12 rating, and just eight penalty minutes. He added one assist in eight playoff games, continuing to play a steady role on the back end.

His combination of poise, vision, and clean breakout ability made him a reliable option throughout the year, particularly in transition and on second power-play units.

Brief Stint in Sweden

Landry joined IK Oskarshamn in HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden’s second-tier pro league for nine games and posted two assists, gaining valuable international experience before returning to North America for the upcoming season.

Before Turning Pro

Prior to signing with Florida, Landry played four seasons at the University of New Brunswick, where he helped lead the Reds to back-to-back University Cup Championships in 2023 and 2024. His final collegiate season saw him produce 34 points in 30 games, with another five assists in playoff action. Known for his composure and offensive instincts, Landry finished his USports career with 88 points in 90 games, a standout total for a defenseman.

What Landry Brings Back to the Blades

At 6’0” and 194 pounds, Landry is a left-shot defenseman with strong puck distribution and a mature, high-IQ game. His return gives Florida a familiar, steady presence on the blue line—one capable of logging minutes in a variety of situations.

With a year of ECHL experience and some international exposure now under his belt, Landry will look to take another step forward in 2025–26 as Florida continues building a deep and balanced defensive unit.
