
The Kalamazoo Wings have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Spencer Kennedy for the 2025-26 season. Kennedy, 24, began the season with the Norfolk Admirals, putting up two goals and an assist for three points along with 122 PIMs before being traded to the K-Wings. He will bring a ton of physicality to the K-Wings and a willingness to drop the gloves with anyone. In four games with Kalamazoo, he had an assist along with 23 PIMS. Kennedy is the fourth forward and sixth player to sign with the K-Wings for the 2025-26 season.
The Lethbridge, Alberta native made his ECHL debut during the 2023-24 season. He would record his first ECHL fight while a member of the Reading Royals, a team he would spend just three games with. Kennedy would finish the season with the Atlanta Gladiators, where he racked up 77 PIMs in 21 games.
“I’m really excited to be back in Kalamazoo this season to bring a lot of energy on the ice and a Kelly Cup to the community of Kalamazoo,” Kennedy said. “Winning a championship is all that matters.”

Prior to going pro, Kennedy played parts of two seasons at Portage College, where he had four goals and six assists for 10 points along with 140 PIMs in 28 games. During the 2021-22 season, he led the league in PIMS (84).
Kennedy would make his SPHL debut at the end of the 2022-23 season with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs. He made his mark by putting up three goals and recording an impressive 131 PIMs in just 19 games. Kennedy would play 22 games in the SPHL with the Rail Yard Dawgs, Peoria Rivermen, and Pensacola Ice Flyers. In those games, he would put up two goals and three assists for five points along with 96 PIMs. He would rack up 29 PIMs in the only playoff game he played in as the Rail Yard Dawgs won the 2023 President’s Cup.
