Adirondack Thunder forward Kaleb Ergang is heading overseas to England to join the Manchester Storm of the EIHL. In 13 games last season with the Thunder, Ergang put up six goals and three assists for nine points. He had at least one point in six of the 13 games he played, including three multi-point games. It didn’t take Ergang long to adjust to the ECHL level, as he had four points in his first three games with Adirondack, including two goals in his professional debut. The 24-year-old forward was one of the more promising rookies that Adirondack brought in late in the season. He is the first member of the Thunder to take the overseas route this offseason. Kaleb Ergang was one of the 30 players on the Adirondack Thunder Protected List.
The Spruce Grove, Alberta native, played his junior hockey in the AJHL, where he played with the Spruce Grove Saints, Okotoks Oilers, and Whitecourt Wolverines over the course of five seasons. In 165 AJHL games, he put up 42 goals and 73 assists for 115 points. During the 2019-20 season, Ergang would lead the Wolverines in assists (38) and points (55). That was also the only season he would wear a letter in the AJHL. Once his AJHL career was over, Ergang would make the jump to the NCAA level, where he spent four years at Ferris State University. In his four years with the Bulldogs, Ergang had 17 goals and 32 assists for 49 points in 109 games.
