The Kansas City Mavericks have announced that they have re-signed forward Nolan Sullivan for the 2024-25 ECHL season.
“Nolan joined the Mavericks before the playoffs. He is an excellent centerman, great on face-offs, and brings the work rate, pace, and tenacity we value in our players,” said General Manager and Head Coach Tad O’Had. “Nolan’s strength and physicality make us a better team. We are excited about what he brings to our lineup and believe he is crucial for us.”

Collegiate Career
Nolan Sullivan spent his collegiate career as a Maverick at the University of Nebraska-Omaha starting in the 2019-20 season. Sullivan wore an “A” with the UNO Mavericks his sophomore and junior years and captained the team in his senior and fifth year seasons. In his five seasons at UNO, Sullivan played in 171 games, where he had 27 goals and 34 assists for 61 points. He had 181 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -7.
Sullivan was named the NCHC Rookie of the Week in November of 2019-20. He was also named to the NCHC Academic All-Conference and was also named a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete in his first-year and second-year student seasons. He was named to the NCHC Academic All-League and was named a Distinguished Scholar in his junior and senior seasons.
Professional Career
After completing his career as a UNO Maverick in the 2023-24 season, Sullivan decided to continue his career as a Maverick as he signed with the Kansas City Mavericks to complete the 2023-24 season. Sullivan played in four regular season games with Kansas City, where he did not have any points or penalty minutes, and he had a plus/minus of -1. Sullivan played in eight playoff games with Kansas City, where he had zero goals and two assists for two points. He had two penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +4. The 2024-25 season will be Sullivan’s first full professional season.
