In an announcement made on Tuesday, the Rapid City Rush, an affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, revealed a roster adjustment involving forward Keltie Jeri-Leon. He has been traded to the Savannah Ghost Pirates as a part of completing an earlier futures trade. During the off-season, the Rush acquired the playing rights to defenseman Will Riedell, and the trade involving Jeri-Leon to Savannah effectively finalized the deal. Riedell has three assists in seven games with the Calgary Wranglers and three assists in 14 games with the Rush. He had two goals and three assists for five points in 32 games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and four assists in 15 games in Savannah.
Jeri-Leon has had a productive season so far, accumulating 14 points, comprising of seven goals and seven assists, in the 28 games he has played for the Rush. It is worth noting that he was absent from only two games due to his call-up to the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers. Savannah will be Jeri-Leon’s fourth team, as he’s previously spent time with the Maine Mariners, Wheeling Nailers, and Rapid City Rush before joining the Ghost Pirates.
The Ghost Pirates next game will be in Jacksonville, FL, against the Icemen on Friday, January 5th, at 7:00 pm. The Rush play a three-game stint in Tulsa, OK, against the Oilers from Friday to Sunday.
