The Adirondack Thunder may not have a coach yet, but on Tuesday, they announced their first signing for the 2025-26 season. Forward Kishaun Gervais is returning to Adirondack after he was acquired in a trade with the Tulsa Oilers in January. In 44 games last year with the Oilers and Thunder, Gervais had 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points. Gervias began last season in Finland, putting up six goals and two assists in 22 games. Gervais had 13 goals and nine assists for 22 points in 52 games with Tulsa during the 2023-24 season. He also played four games in the SPHL with the Birmingham Bulls, putting up six goals in four games. He brings toughness and an offensive touch to the Thunder roster that was one of the bright spots last season. I expect Gervais to be a big piece for Adirondack moving forward.
Prior to going pro, Gervais spent time in the SJHL, WHL, and USports. He would spend three seasons in the SJHL with the Yorkton Terriers, putting up 32 goals and 34 assists for 66 points in 96 games. Gervais led the team in goals (22) and points (43) during his final season in Yorkton. Gervais would also spend parts of two seasons in the WHL with the Portland Winterhawks, putting up nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points in 50 games. In his final season before going pro, he would put up two goals in five games at Lakehead University (USports).
