The Trois-Rivières Lions are bringing back a big piece in their lineup as they’ve re-signed forward Logan Nijhoff for the 2025-26 season. Nijhoff, 24, put up 25 goals and 24 assists for 49 points in 58 games. Nijhoff was one of three players tied for the team lead in goals. He would add three goals and nine assists for 12 points in 21 Kelly Cup Playoff games. Nijhoff also had one assist in eight games at the AHL level while on a PTO with the Laval Rocket. This is a huge signing for a Lions team that has lost a lot of key pieces this offseason. Nijhoff is the ninth forward and 14th player signed for the 2025-26 season.

The Comox, British Columbia, native is entering his fifth professional season, and he’s seen time at both the ECHL and AHL levels. During his time in the ECHL, he’s spent time with the Tulsa Oilers, Indy Fuel, and Trois-Rivières Lions. He’s put up 33 goals and 32 assists for 65 points in 101 games.

During his time in the AHL, he’s spent time with the San Diego Gulls, Rockford IceHogs, and Laval Rocket. Nijhoff has four goals and an assist for five points in 58 games in the ECHL.

WHL Career

Prior to going pro, Nijhoff spent parts of five seasons in the WHL with the Regina Pats. In 231 games with the Pats, he put up 61 goals and 62 assists for 123 points. He would also see action in three WHL Playoff games. Nijhoff would captain Regina in his final two seasons with the team.
