The Maine Mariners have announced that they have re-signed forward Christian Sarlo for the 2024-25 season. Sarlo becomes the third player from Penn State to sign with the Mariners for the 2024-25 season, joining Xander Lamppa and Christian Berger; all three of those players would wear a letter at Penn State. In 10 games at the end of the regular season, the 23-year-old defenseman would put up three goals and three assists for six points, including a two-goal game vs Trois-Rivieres Lions on March 29th. Sarlo would end up making the Mariners Kelly Cup Playoff Roster and would play in three Kelly Cup Playoff games but wouldn’t be able to find the scoresheet. The singing of Sarlo now brings the Mariners 2024-25 roster to 13 players, which includes eight forwards, four defensemen, and a goaltender
“I’m really excited to be back,” said Sarlo. “Portland is a great town that has a real excitement for the Mariners. The coaching staff and players were great and I can’t say enough good things about my time there. I can’t wait to start things up.”
