The Maine Mariners have announced that they have signed forward Turner Ripplinger to a contract for the 2024-25 season. Ripplinger, 26, joins the Mariners after spending the last two-plus years in the EIHL with the Guildford Flames. In 86 games with the Flames, he would put up eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points. He would add five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 19 EIHL Cup Games.
The 5’10,170lb forward becomes the 16th signing for the Mariners this off-season, which includes 11 forwards, four defensemen, and a goalie. Ripplinger is the only forward currently signed with Maine that doesn’t have any previous ECHL experience. I would expect him to be a depth winger for the Mariners when the season begins in October.
“I’ve heard nothing but great things about the city, the town and the organization so I felt like it was a no-brainer to sign with the Mariners,” said Ripplinger

Ripplinger would spend three seasons at the junior level playing in the BCHL, MJHL, and SJHL. He would win a BCHL championship in 2017 with the Penticton Vees as he put up three goals and six assists for nine points in 45 games. He would pick up 100+ PIMs in each of his seasons in the MJHL and SJHL. The Regina native would then play two seasons with the University of Regina, where he put up 10 goals and 21 assists for 31 points in 48 games before heading overseas. He spent time last season as an assistant coach with the Saskatchewan Jr. Pats.
