
Forward Matt Boudens is heading overseas to join the Dundee Stars (EIHL) after spending six seasons in the ECHL/AHL. Last season, Boudens was limited to just 36 games, where he put up two goals and two assists for four points while spending time with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Worcester Railers, and Fort Wayne Komets. During his time with the Railers, he also spent time behind the bench as an assistant coach for a handful of games. Bouden is the fourth Komet to take the overseas route since the season ended.
Boudens, 31, has spent the majority of his career with the Fort Wayne Komets, where he’s put up 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points along with 258 PIMS in 134 games. He was the captain of the Komets during the 2021-22 season and would also wear a letter the following season. Bouden won a Kelly Cup with the Komets in 2021 and was named to the ECHL All-Star team in 2024.
The Pembroke, Ontario, native has also seen time with the Savannah Ghost Pirates, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Worcester Railers. He’s put up 33 goals and 48 assists for 81 points along with 446 PIMs in 215 ECHL games. Boudens added six goals and five assists for 11 points along with 88 PIMs in 23 Kelly Cup Playoff Games.
The 5’11”, 194lb forward has also seen time in the AHL with the Chicago Wolves and Henderson Silver Knights. He’s put up six assists in 47 AHL games. All of his assists came as a member of the Silver Knights, including five during the 2021-22 season.
