ECHL: Matt Crasa Re-Signs With Norfolk Admirals

The Norfolk Admirals have announced they they’ve re-signed forward Matt Crasa for the 2025-26 season. Crasa, 24, joined the Admirals at the end of the regular season, putting up two goals and three assists for five points in 11 games. He got off to a hot start, putting up four points in his first three games. In six games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs, he would have one assist. Crasa is the eighth forward and 11th player to sign with the Admirals for the 2025-26 season.

The New York native began his career at the junior level, spending a year in the BCHL and a year in the USHL. In 51 games in the BCHL with the Cowichan Capitals, he put up 25 goals and 19 assists for 44 points. Crasa had four goals an assist in five playoff games. At the USHL level, he would play 53 games with the Fargo Force. He would up 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points for 33 points. In nine playoff games, he had a goal and three assists for four points.

“Matt showcased the ability to play up and down our lineup,” said Jeff Carr, Admirals General Manager & Head Coach. “He’s an interesting player who shows a knack for big-time plays at big moments in games.”

Crasa would then head to the NCAA, where he played four seasons at U-Mass Lowell. In 129 games with the River Hawks, he put up 27 goals and 31 assists for 58 points. In his rookie year, he put up 12 goals and nine assists for 21 points in 35 games and would be named to the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. He finished second on the team in goals.
