Rapid City Rush goaltender Matt Radomsky has been named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the week beginning February 3rd and ending February 10th. He would go 2-0 with a 1.39 GAA and .958SV% in two games.
Christian Propp would start Friday’s game but would be forced out of the game on Friday due to an injury, and netminder Matt Radomsky took over between the pipes. On Friday, in relief of Propp, Radomsky made 15 saves on 15 shots against in his 26:22 of ice time for a perfect 1.00 save percentage. He also was able to go 3/3 in the shootout as well, helping the Rush to a 3-2 shootout victory.
With Propp still out, Radomsky was called back to protect the net on Saturday night, where the Rush were looking for their second road sweep vs Idaho Steelheads this season. Radomsky made 31 saves on 33 shots for a save percentage of .939. Radomsky almost had the shutout, but after a Rush defensive breakdown led to a four-on-two odd-man rush for the Steelheads, Radomsky’s shutout was lost with only 22 seconds left. Idaho tallied a second goal with only four seconds left in the game. Regardless, Matt Radomsky was able to help the Rush to a 5-2 win, helping the Rush to sweep the Steelheads in Idaho. Prior to the 2024-25 season, the Rush had never swept the Steelheads in Idaho and are now 6-1-2-0 in Idaho this season, having swept the Steelheads two of the three times they have visited this season. Radomsky was also in net for two of the three games the Rush won in Idaho in November.
