
Allen Americans forward Nick Isaacson is heading overseas to join the Dundee Stars of the EIHL after spending his first four professional seasons in North America. Isaacson began last season with the Cincinnati Cyclones before being traded to the Americans on December 17th. He had 13 goals and 14 assists in 27 games as a member of the Cyclones. In 54 games last season, he had five goals and five assists for 10 points. Isaacson, 25, spent the last four seasons in the ECHL, playing for the South Carolina Stingrays, Maine Mariners, Jacksonville Icemen, Cincinnati Cyclones, and Allen Americans. In 147 games, he would put up 22 goals and 25 assists for 47 points. He also saw three games with the Hershey Bears at the AHL level during his first season, but couldn’t find the score sheet.
He is the first player from the Americans to take the overseas route this offseason.
Prior to going pro, the Oakville, Ontario native spent time in the OHL and USports. Isaacson began his junior career in the OHL, where he played five seasons with the Peterborough Petes and the Mississauga Steelheads. In 224 OHL games, he would put up 32 goals and 50 assists for 82 points. He would add two goals and two assists for four points in 16 career OHL Playoff Games. Isaacson would play six games at the University of Guelph, where he had two goals and an assist for three points before making the jump to the ECHL.
