Maine Mariners forward Nick Jermain is set to join the Blue Devils Weiden in Germany next season after finishing his third stint in Portland. Last season, Jermain was a regular in the Mariners’ lineup, appearing in 60 games. He recorded six goals and 10 assists for 16 points, while also logging 38 penalty minutes and a –22 plus/minus rating. Though not a top scorer, he provided reliable depth in the bottom six and brought veteran experience to the locker room.

Nick Jermain joined the Mariners midway through the 2021–22 season after being acquired from the Fort Wayne Komets in January 2022. In his rookie year, he played in 39 games with Maine. He tallied five goals and 11 assists for 16 points. Including his time with Fort Wayne, Jermain recorded a total of 31 points in 67 games during the season.

Following his promising debut, Jermain re-signed with the Mariners for the 2022–23 season. Over the course of 24 games that season, he scored six goals and three assists for nine points. Midway through the year, Jermain took his talents overseas for the first time. He played in Slovakia with HK Poprad and later in France, where he continued to gain experience in European leagues.

After his international stints, Jermain began the 2023–24 season with the Trois-Rivières Lions, where he registered six points in 20 games. He then moved to Anglet in France’s Ligue Magnus, contributing 10 points in 14 games along with three points in the playoffs.

His strong showing abroad led to another opportunity with Maine, and on August 12, 2024, the Mariners officially announced his return for the 2024–25 season.
