
The Kansas City Mavericks have announced that they have re-signed 5’11” forward Nolan Sullivan for the 2025-26 season.
Junior and Collegiate Career
Nolan Sullivan started his junior career in the 2016-17 season playing with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL. He played in eight games with the Wings, registering one goal and two assists. In 12 playoff games, he had one goal and two assists with ten penalty minutes and a -5.
After his short time in the NAHL, Sullivan made the move to the USHL, where he spent two seasons with the Muskegon Lumberjacks, captaining the team in his second season. In 119 games with the Lumberjacks, Sullivan registered 23 goals and 15 assists for 38 points. He had three goals and two assists with four penalty minutes and a -4 in 11 USHL playoff games.
The Eden Prairie, Minnesota native went on to play collegiately at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. In 171 collegiate games, Sullivan had 27 goals and 34 assists for 61 points with 181 penalty minutes and a -7. Sullivan wore an A for the Mavericks in his sophomore and junior seasons, and he captained the Team in his senior and fifth-year seasons.
Professional Career
After completing his collegiate career, Sullivan signed his first professional contract, playing in the ECHL with the Kansas City Mavericks. In 73 games, Sullivan has nine goals and 18 assists for 27 points with 46 penalty minutes and a +9.
Nolan Sullivan is a forward who not only provides offense but also a lot of leadership. Sullivan has captained many teams and has found success with the teams he has captained. On the ice, Sullivan is able to use his speed and eye for the ice to help find open areas and set his teammates up to score.
