The Norfolk Admirals and Reading Royals made a trade today, sending the rights of forward Grant Hebert to the Admirals. In return, the Admirals sent the rights to forward Ryan Foss and future considerations to the Royals.

Hebert was originally sent to the Royals to complete a trade with the Allen Americans on November 10, 2023, which sent Solag Bakich to Allen. Hebert played three seasons at Robert Morris University and two at the University of Maine at the DI level. In 111 games, he scored 26 goals and 64 points.

At the end of the 2022-23 season, Hebert signed with the Americans, finishing the year with 37 games, eight goals, and 26 points. In his second season, he played 43 games, scoring 10 goals and 10 assists. He then moved overseas, playing for the Manchester Storm in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). This season, he has 14 goals and 35 points in 32 games.

Ryan Foss

Foss, an Acadia University graduate, played USports from 2017 to 2021. He tallied 15 goals and 42 points in 81 games with the Axemen. He then signed with Neuilly-sur-Marne in France’s second division, where he scored 10 goals and 36 points in 25 games. The Admirals signed Foss for the 2022-23 season, during which he played 93 games, recording 20 goals and 66 points. On January 7, 2024, he went overseas to play for HC 19 Humenne in Slovakia, tallying six points in 14 games. He currently plays in the EIHL with the Fife Flyers, where he has 14 points in 27 games this season.
