The Norfolk Admirals announced earlier today they have re-signed Connor Fedorek for the 2024-25 ECHL regular season. The Bethel Park, PA native spent his first full season bouncing around four teams between the ECHL and Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
Prior to turning pro, Fedorek spent his junior hockey career with the Kenai River Brown Bears and Odessa Jackalopes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). He spent two seasons with both, captaining the Jackalopes in his final season. With Kenai, he played 63 games, notching one goal and 15 assists. After his move to Odessa, he played 63 games, tallying eight goals and 25 assists.
After his junior career, Fedorek attended Ferris State University. He spent three seasons there, playing 67 games, but did not fare well on the point-production side of things as he notched just one goal and seven assists, nor was he stellar defensively, having been a minus-24. After his junior season at Ferris State University, he transferred to Utica University, an NCAA Division III school competing in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference. He found much more success there, collecting four goals and 21 assists in 29 games to win the NCAA III (UCHC) Championship.
Fedorek first entered the professional hockey scene at the end of his senior season at Utica. He was signed to a contract by the Kalamazoo Wings, where he played 11 games, scoring one goal and three assists. Last season, he signed with the Fayetteville Marksmen in the SPHL, playing six games and notching three assists. After those six games to begin with the Marksmen, he would move to the Reading Royals, where he played three games, tallying two assists. He would then be loaned to the Indy Fuel (one assist) and finally land with the Admirals. He impressed last season with the Admirals in the 31 games he played. He notched four goals and 10 assists.
