ECHL: Norfolk Admirals Re-Sign Marko Reifenberger

The Norfolk Admirals have announced that they’ve re-signed center Marko Reifenberger for the 2025-26 season. Reifenberger, 26, is coming off his first full season in the ECHL, where he put up five goals and 10 assists for 15 points in 65 games last season. He was acquired by the Admirals at the Future Considerations Trade Deadline in 2023. Norfolk now has five forwards and seven players signed for the 2025-26 season.

The Hastings, Minnesota, native spent four seasons in the NCAA with Mercyhurst University before making the jump to go pro. In 122 games at Mercyhurst, Reifenberger would put up 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points. He would wear a letter on his chest in his last two seasons with the Lakers, and would captain the team during the 2023-24 season. In 2022, Reifenberger would be named to the ACHA All-Academic Team. Reifenberger made his pro debut at the end of the 2023-24 season, putting up three goals and an assist for four points in 13 games with the South Carolina Stingrays.

Junior Career

Prior to playing at the NCAA level, Reifenberger spent the majority of his junior career in the USHL, as he spent time with the Bloomington Thunder, Central Illinois Flying Aces, Sioux Falls Stampede, and Minnesota Magicians. He would put up five goals and 14 assists for 19 points along with 210 PIMs in 130 USHL games. He played in three playoff games with the Stampede in 2018.

Reifenberger also spent 21 games in the BCHL during the 2018-19 season, where he picked up four goals and five assists for nine points with the Wenatchee Wild. In 18 playoff games, he would put up six goals and three assists for nine points. He spent his final junior season in the NAHL with the Minnesota Magicians. He would put up nine goals and 24 assists for 31 points in 51 games.
