You look at championship teams, and they all have something in common: goal scorers… guys that can get on the ice and be a sure threat no matter the time or score. The Norfolk Admirals have got that guy in re-signing Brian Bowen.

Bowen, 27, will be a valuable addition to the Admirals’ roster, becoming their eighth forward and the 11th player to be signed for the upcoming season.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to come back to Norfolk and keep building off the foundation we started to set towards the end of last year,” said Bowen.

The Massachusetts native played just 26 games last season yet managed to score an impressive 14 goals. He was the team’s fourth-best goal scorer, managing to achieve that feat in much fewer games than the top three.

Being on pace for a nearly 40-goal season, Admirals fans can expect Bowen to consistently light the lamp and sound the goal horn. Head coach Jeff Carr had this to say:

“He scores big goals that usually separate teams from barely hanging on to being up two, three goals. He’s just a pure goal-scorer.”

Admirals fans, that’s 11 to the roster now. This team is surely shaping up to be fun and competitive this season, and you’re not going to want to miss it.
