ECHL: Norfolk Admirals Sign Forward To ATO

The Norfolk Admirals have signed forward Zach Bannister to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO). Bannister spent this past season at Stevenson University after spending the previous three years at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. The Yellow Jackets would win the WIAC Championship in his freshman year, where he put up one assist in eight games.

In his four years of college hockey, the 24-year-old forward put up 22 goals and 35 assists for 57 points in 88 games. The move to Stevenson worked out well for Bannister as he had his best collegiate season, putting up 10 goals and 17 assists for 27 points in 28 games.

The Admirals will begin a two-game series on the road tonight vs Reading Royals before they had back to Norfolk to play Reading on Saturday before heading out West.

To make room for Bannister, the team released Lucas Bombardier, who was scoreless in two games
