ECHL: Norfolk Admirals Transactions | 11/19/2024

The Norfolk Admirals and Manitoba Moose announced today that goaltender Domenic DeVincentiis has been assigned from the Moose to the Admirals. This comes after the Winnipeg Jets reclaimed goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen off waivers from the Colorado Avalanche.

DeVincentiis has been off to a terrific start with the Moose this season, despite being just 2-3-0 through five games. Through those games, he holds a 2.24 goals against average (GAA) and a .930 save percentage (SV%).

The 2022 seventh round draft pick of the Jets put up stellar numbers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the North Bay Battalion. In 117 games played, he held a 77-26-7 record with a 2.68 GAA and a .907 SV%. To end the 2021-22 season, he held the best OHL rookie GAA with a 2.59, earning his the Dinty Moore Trophy. He was also named to the OHL Second All-Star Team. To end his final junior season, he was named to the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) Second All-Star Team, OHL First All-Star Team, OHL Goaltender of the Year, and held the most shutouts with six.

With the issues between the pipes for the Admirals, DeVincentiis will give the Admirals that boost they need while also giving him the chance to further develop his skills with frequent time between the pipes.

The Admirals are set to return to game action tomorrow night (Nov. 20) when they face off against the Reading Royals. Fans can look forward to an exciting match, with puck drop scheduled for 7:05 p.m. This game will be a significant test for the Admirals as they aim to bounce back and secure a win, making it a must-watch event.
