ECHL: Olivier LeBlanc Signs With Tahoe Knight Monsters

Defenseman Olivier LeBlanc has signed with the Tahoe Knight Monsters for the 2025-26 season after spending the last two seasons overseas. This signing gives the Knight Monsters some much-needed experience on the blueline. The two other defensemen on the roster, Kaelan Taylor and Linden Alger, have 20 games played between the two of them. LeBlanc is the third defenseman signed by Tahoe for the 2025-26 season.

LeBlanc’s Career Overseas

Last season, LeBlanc served as the Captain of the Fife Flyers in the EIHL. He would put up nine assists in 44 games. LeBlanc would put up four assists in nine games during the EIHL Cup. The Quebec native spent the 2023-24 season in France with Angers (Ligue Magnus). He would put up nine assists in 38 games. LeBlanc would have two assists in three games during the French Cup.

North American Career

Olivier LeBlanc, 25, was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the seventh round of the 2014 NHL Draft. He spent his first pro season in the AHL with the Belleville Senators, where he had two assists in 12 games. LeBlanc spent the following two seasons in the Jackets system, splitting time with the Cleveland Monsters and Kalamazoo Wings. He would put up one assist in 23 games with the Monsters and had two goals and 13 assists for 15 points in 58 games with the K-Wings. LeBlanc would be traded to the Florida Everblades in March 2023. He would put up an assist in 10 games with the Everblades. LeBlanc played in one Kelly Cup Playoff Game with the Everblades.
