ECHL: Olivier Nadeau Named Player of the Week | March 3-9

Jacksonville Icemen forward Olivier Nadeau has been honored as the Inglasco ECHL Player of the Week for March 3-9, following a dominant three-game performance against the Allen Americans.

Nadeau played a key role in Jacksonville’s sweep of Allen, recording seven points (5g-2a) across three games. His standout performances included a hat trick and an assist in a 9-1 rout on Thursday (March 6), a goal in Friday’s 4-0 shutout (March 7), and another goal and assist in Saturday’s 3-1 victory (March 8).

Strong 2024-25 Season with Jacksonville

The 22-year-old is currently under contract with the Buffalo Sabres (NHL) and has been a significant offensive force for Jacksonville in 2024-25, tallying 40 points (22g-18a) in 35 games. He has also played four games for the Rochester Americans (AHL), contributing two assists.

Last season (2023-24), Nadeau split time between the AHL and ECHL, registering 24 points (12g-12a) in 41 regular-season games with Jacksonville, along with three points (2g-1a) in seven playoff games. He also made his AHL debut with Rochester, recording one goal in five games.

Career Overview

A native of Lac-Etchemin, Quebec, Nadeau has accumulated 64 points (34g-30a) in 76 career ECHL games with Jacksonville, along with three points (1g-2a) in nine AHL appearances with Rochester.

Before turning pro, he starred in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), where he amassed 192 points (85g-107a) in 191 career games with the Shawinigan Cataractes and Gatineau Olympiques.

Community Recognition

As part of this recognition, Inglasco, the official puck supplier of the ECHL, will donate a case of pucks to a Jacksonville youth hockey organization in Nadeau’s honor. Since the award’s inception in 2000-01, Inglasco has contributed over 51,000 pucks to youth programs in ECHL cities.
