The Orlando Solar Bears have added veteran scoring punch to their forward group, signing Jarid Lukosevicius for the 2025–26 ECHL season. The 30-year-old right winger brings a wealth of experience from the AHL, ECHL, NCAA, and European leagues, giving Orlando a proven offensive presence with a history of stepping up in big games.

A Well-Traveled Pro Career

Lukosevicius split last season between two Slovakian clubs—Vlci Zilina and HK Dukla Michalovce—where he combined for 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 36 games. He added another three goals and four points in five playoff games with Michalovce, showcasing his ability to produce when the stakes are highest.

Before heading overseas, he made an impact in the ECHL with the South Carolina Stingrays. In 2023–24, he tallied 10 goals and 19 points in just 15 games, earning a loan to the AHL’s Belleville Senators, where he appeared in 19 games.

His ECHL résumé also includes a short but explosive 2022–23 run with South Carolina—five goals and eight points in just five regular season games, plus four goals in six playoff contests.

In the AHL, Lukosevicius suited up for the Abbotsford Canucks, Grand Rapids Griffins, and Belleville, amassing over 180 games of experience across four seasons.

College Champion with a Big-Game Reputation

Before turning pro, Lukosevicius was a key player for the University of Denver, winning two NCAA Championships (2017, 2018) and the NCHC title in 2017. He’s perhaps best remembered for scoring a hat trick in the 2017 National Championship game against Minnesota-Duluth, cementing his reputation as a clutch performer.

What He Brings to Orlando

At 5’10” and 194 pounds, Lukosevicius plays with speed, offensive creativity, and a knack for finding the net in critical moments. His versatility allows him to contribute in multiple forward roles, while his championship pedigree adds valuable leadership to a young roster.
