ECHL: Orlando Signs Tanner Schachle

This afternoon, September 21st, the Orlando Solar Bears signed forward Tanner Schachle for the 2023-24 season. Schachle has spent the 2022-23 season playing for the Rapid City Rush and Norfolk Admirals, where he played 34 games and scored 11 points (6g-5a). Schachle has played 82 ECHL games total, scoring 22 points (9g-13a). 

Schachle is from Wasilla, Alaska, and started his college career at the University of Alaska-Anchorage from 2018 to 2020, where he played 60 games and scored 9 points with 110 penalty minutes. Schachle finished his collegiate career at Long Island University from 2020-22.

Schachle played junior hockey in the NAHL for the Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Kenai River Brown Bears. He played 109 games for the Ice Dogs, scoring 35 goals and 35 assists. Schachle is no stranger to the penalty box; he was sent to the sin bin for 156 minutes during his two seasons with the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
