ECHL: Orlando Solar Bears: Avery Winslow Re-Signs For Second Professional Season

On Friday, August 23rd, 2024, Orland Solar Bears announced that they have re-signed defenseman Avery Winslow. This will be Winslow’s second professional season and his first full season with the Solar Bears.

In December of 2023, Winslow was part of a future considerations trade from the Wheeling Nailers.

Winslow is 21 years old, hailing from St. Pete Beach, Florida. He comes in at 6 feet tall, and 180 pounds. In 36 games last season with the Solar Bears, Winslow tallied seven points with one goal and six assists.

Before becoming a professional, Winslow committed time in the Ontario Hockey League. Winslow played for the North Bay Battalion and London Knights. During his OHL career, Winslow played in 179 games and tallied 53 points. Of those 53 points, Winslow had 10 goals and 43 assists. He was the Alternate Captain of the North Bay Battalion during his final two seasons in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. Winslow also attended the Tampa Bay Lightning Training Camp as a free agent in the 2021 season.
