ECHL: Orlando Solar Bears’ Roster Transactions | 11/21/2024

The Orlando Solar Bears have made several roster changes recently. Yesterday the team announced that Jaydon Dureau, a forward assigned from the Syracuse Crunch by the Tampa Bay Lightning, would be bringing his skills to the Solar Bears. Dureau, 23, has recorded one goal and one assist in 10 games with the Crunch this season. The White City, Saskatchewan native has appeared in 70 games over two seasons with the Solar Bears, scoring 44 points (15g-29a) and added 11 points in 11 playoff games in the 2024 Kelly Cup Playoffs. Dureau has also skated in 30 AHL games over five seasons, recording three goals and three assists. Prior to his professional career, the 6-foot, 176-pound forward played in 207 games in the Western Hockey League for the Portland Winterhawks, scoring 196 points on 65 goals and 131 assists. Dureau was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the fifth round, 147th overall, in the 2020 NHL Draft and signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Lightning in the spring of 2022.

Ryan Verrier, a defenseman, has been traded to the Orlando Solar Bears from the Worcester Railers. Verrier, 25, is a 6’0″, 194-pound defenseman from Reading, Massachusetts. He has played five games in the 2024-25 ECHL season with the Worcester Railers. Last season, Verrier played 58 games with the Railers, scoring four goals and 12 assists for 16 points, with a plus/minus rating of +92. Verrier played his first full professional season for the Dundee Stars of the Elite Ice Hockey League before joining the Railers. During his time at the University of New Hampshire, Verrier scored 23 points (5g-18a) in 116 games.


Brian Chambers, who has been traded to the Allen Americans, contributed to the Solar Bears in the 2023-24 ECHL season. He played nine games, with an assist and one point, and a plus/minus rating of -2.

Tyson Feist, a solid defenseman, has been recalled by the Syracuse Crunch. In the 2023-24 ECHL season with the Solar Bears, Feist played 10 games, scoring a goal and earning one point, with a plus/minus rating of -2.

This weekend, the Orlando Solar Bears will face the Toledo Walleye in three back-to-back games on the road, starting on Friday, November 22nd. Puck drops at 7:15 PM EST.
