
After spending the past three seasons in North America, Cincinnati Cyclones goaltender Pavel Cajan is heading overseas to Czechia to join HC Litvinov. During the 2024-25 season, he went 13-10-5 with a 2.42 GAA, .902SV%, and one shutout in 28 games with the Cyclones. It was the first time in his professional career that Cajan won at least ten games. In five games in the AHL with the Cleveland Monsters, he went 3-2 with a 3.75 GAA and .862 SV%. He struggled in his final two starts of the 2024-25 season, allowing twelve goals. Cajan was one of five different goaltenders to see time this season with Cincinnati. He becomes the second player from the Cyclones to head overseas, joining Kyle Bollers.
Pavel Cajan, 22, began his career in Czcechia before starting his North American career with the Kitchener Rangers in the 2021-22 season. However, this will be his first time in the top league in Czechia after playing four games in Czechia 2 earlier in his career. In 44 games with the Rangers, he went 21-18-4 with a 3.61 GAA and .901SV%. Over the course of his three professional seasons in North America, the Czech native played in the AHL and ECHL. In 49 games with the Cleveland Monsters, he went 19-20-6 with a 3.43 GAA, .896SV%, and two shutouts. At the ECHL level, he played in 48 games with the Kalamazoo Wings and Cincinnati Cyclones, putting up a 22-19-7 record with a 2.49 GAA, .912 SV%, and two shutouts.
