ECHL: Rapid City Rush Bring Back Christian Propp

The Rapid City Rush have announced that they have re-signed 6’2″ goaltender Christian Propp for the 2025-26 season.

Junior and Collegiate Career

Christian Propp started his junior career in the 2015-16 season playing in the OHL. He spent five seasons in the OHL playing for the Barrie Colts, North Bay Battalion, Soo Greyhounds, and Kingston Frontenacs. In 162 OHL games, Propp had a record of 62-76-11 with four shutouts, with a .888SV% and a 3.86 GAA. In ten playoff games, Propp had a record of 2-7-1 with a 3.61 GAA and a .914SV%.

Propp then went on to start his collegiate career playing in USports with Wilfrid Laurier University, where he played three seasons. Propp put up a 2.73 GAA after having a record of 28-30-1 with three shutouts. He played in nine playoff games, where he put up a record of 4-5-0 with a 2.81 GAA.

Professional Career

After his collegiate career, Propp started his professional career in the ECHL with the the Wheeling Nailers where he spent one game before joining the Rapid City Rush. Propp has played in 26 ECHL games thus far, where he has a record of 10-10-4. He has a save percentage of .894 with a 3.48 goals against average. Propp only played in 16 games in the 2025-26 season before he was injured and out for the rest of the season. He had a record of 5-6-3 with a 3.39 GAA and a .897SV% during the 2025-26 season.

Propp is huge for Rapid City to bring back, as he was a lot of help for the team last season when the other goaltenders were getting callups to the AHL. Not only is Propp able to help the Rush find success on the ice, he brings a lot of good energy to the Rush.
