The Rapid City Rush have announced that they have re-signed forward Parker Bowman for the 2025-26 season.

Junior and Collegiate Career

Parker Bowman started his junior career in the 2016-17 season, where he was an alternate captain playing for the Powassan VooDoos in the NOJHL. In 45 games with the VooDoos, Bowman had 16 goals and 14 assists for 30 points with 78 penalty minutes.

Bowman then went to the QMJHL for two seasons playing for the Rimouski Océanic, scoring six goals and 19 assists for 25 points. He then returned to the VooDoos, where he captained the team in the 2019-20 season. He registered 38 goals and 50 assists for 88 points in 54 games in the 2019-20 season.

Bowman then went on to start his collegiate career in the 2020-21 season, but did not actually play until the 2021-22 season due to a canceled COVID season. Bowman played in 67 games in three seasons at Nipissing University. He had 18 goals and 20 assists for 38 points. Bowman also played in the postseason with Nipissing in two of his three played seasons. He played in three games where he had one assist for one point. Bowman captained Nipissing’s team in his third and fourth seasons.

Professional Career

After completing his collegiate career, Bowman signed in the ECHL with the Rapid City Rush to finish his 2023-24 season. In the 2024-25 season, Bowman was one of two Rush players to play in all 72 games. Through his 90 games with the Rush, Bowman has 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 points.

Bowman is a great player for Rapid City to bring back. While he does not always find himself on the scoresheet, Bowman is great at getting into corners, forcing turnovers, and setting up his teammates to score. He is only 6’0″, but plays a big game and is not afraid to lay a hit or even drop the gloves to swing momentum in his teams favor.
