ECHL: Rapid City Rush Transactions | 11/21/2024

The Rapid City Rush are preparing to take on the Idaho Steelheads this weekend and have made some roster adjustments prior to the series.

The Rapid City Rush announced that forward Ilya Nikolaev had been loaned to them from the Calgary Wranglers. Nikolaev spent most of the 2022-23 season with the Rush and part of the 2023-24 season.

In 46 games with the Rush, Nikolaev has 15 goals and 26 assists for 41 points with 45 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +11. Last season, the Yaroslavl, Russia native, played in six games with the Rush, where he had two goals and six assists for eight points. He had 14 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of +2. In his three seasons with the Wranglers, Nikolaev has played in 43 games where he has three goals and seven assists for ten points with 12 penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -5. This season, Nikolaev has played in nine games with the Wranglers, where he has four assists with two penalty minutes and a plus/minus of -3.

Other Roster Transactions

The Rapid City Rush also made a few other roster adjustments. Goaltender Matt Radomsky was activated from reserve and goaltender Christian Propp was placed on the 14-day injured reserve.

Forward Jack Jeffers was placed on reserve. The Oakville, Ontario native has played in five games this year with Rapid City after finishing the 2023-24 season in Finland.

Defenseman Aaron Hyman was activated from the 3-day injured reserve and then placed on reserve. The 26-year-old rookie defenseman has played in five games for the Rush this season and is still looking for his first career point. Braeden Tuck was placed on the 3-day injured reserve. He’s played in nine games this season and has yet to find the scoresheet.

The Rush are back in action Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23, against the Idaho Steelheads in Rapid City, South Dakota. Puck drop is at 7:05 pm MT Friday and Saturday night.
