ECHL: Reading Royals Forward Heads To Austria

It’s that time of the year when players in the ECHL look for new teams or head overseas. Reading Royals lose a key forward in their leading point scorer of the 2023-2024 season, Joseph Nardi. It was announced on 6/3/2024 that Nardi is heading to Austria to play for the Pioneers Vorarlberg.

Nardi played a key role in the Royals 2023-2024 season and led the team in points with 50 points. He notched 17 goals with 33 assists during the span of 71 games that he played. Nardi has seen time in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose and played for the Toledo Walleye.

Reading acquired Nardi from the Fort Wayne Komets for cash considerations at the start of the season. Nardi was worth the acquisition, you knew when he was on the ice and was either on the first or second line most of the season. His linemates were typically that of Devon Paliani or Yvan Mongo consistently.
