ECHL: Reading Royals: James Henry Relieved Of Coaching Duties, Jason Binkley As Interim Head Coach

The Reading Royals have announced that James Henry has been relieved of his duties as Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. During Henry’s tenure, his record was 55-44 with the team. He took the Royals to the 2022-2023 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs, where they lost during the second round against Newfoundland Growlers.

Jason Binkley has been serving as Assistant Coach since October of 2022. He will be serving as Interim Head Coach. Across his professional playing career, Binkley netted 28 goals and 113 assists (141 points) in 341 games. 

Royals’ Team President David Farrar stated, “We thank James for his service with the team, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
