Jonathan Bendorf has made his way to the Reading Royals for his first professional appearance. Bendorf spent four seasons in the NCAA with Mercyhurst University appearing in 115 games and racking in a grand total of 24 goals across those games and 33 assists. In this past season, Bendorf spent 26 games with Bentley University of the NCAA as well playing in 26 games and earning three goals and three assists.

Bendorf comes into the roster after a crippling 8-5 loss against the Norfolk Admirals. This late in the season, any roster move can be the crucial key to get things working and with Reading currently sitting just one place out of a playoff spot, the games become more intense. Reading currently sits just below the Worcester Railers with a game against the second place, Norfolk Admirals, at home tonight. Wins are essential this late in the season and with a new forward in the mix, it’s hopeful that the needed points can extend the Royals’ season to the post season.
