ECHL: Reading Royals: Pre-Season Schedule

Prior to the 2024-2025 season, the Reading Royals will play two pre-season games against North Division rivals, Adirondack Thunder. This game will take place on Saturday, October 12th at 7:00 pm in the Santander Arena. This will be game two in the series. The first game will take place in Glens Falls, NY at Cool Insuring Arena on Friday, October 11th at 7:00 pm.

“It will be a perfect opportunity for our fans to get a look at our roster for the coming year. It’s a great way to see the team and support Slapshot Charities.”

This will be the first time that many fans will be able to see the Royals roster under the helm of Head Coach and GM Jason Binkley and newly announced Assistant Coach Ryan Anderson before the season opens on October 18th, with the first home game taking place on October 26th. The Royals will face the Wheeling Nailers in the two-game series.

Preseason Notes:

Prior to the 2024-2025 season, the Royals have faced off against the Thunder in 12 consecutive pre-season games. This is dating back to the 2017-2018 pre-season. The Royals to date, have posted a 8-2-1-1 record against Adirondack in those 12 games. At Santander Arena, the record stands at 3-1-1-1. In Glens Falls, the record stands at 5-1 for pre-season games.

During the 2023-2024 pre-season, the Royals split the games 1-1. They lost the opener in a shootout 4-3 on October 12th. On October 13th, they took the finale in Glens falls, 3-1.
