
The Reading Royals have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Cam Cook and defenseman Robbie Stucker for the 2025-26 season. Neither player began the season with the Royals. With the pair of signings, the Royals now have three defenseman and eight forwards signed for the 2025-26 season.
Cam Cook

Cook, 27, began the 2024-25 season in the SPHL, where he put up six goals and five assists for 11 points in 16 games with the Pensacola Ice Flyers. In 36 games with Reading, he would put up five goals and eight assists for 13 points, which was a career high in the ECHL for Cook. He would add a goal in three games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
“I’m really excited to be coming back for another season in Reading,” stated Cook. “We’re all really excited to get to work in about a month-and-a-half. We can’t wait to see you all on November 8th at Santander Arena.”

The Halifax, Nova Scotia, native has bounced around the ECHL the last three seasons, making stops with the Savannah Ghost Pirates, Trois-Rivières Lions, Adirondack Thunder, and Reading Royals. He’s put up five goals and 13 assists for 18 points in 60 career games. Cook has spent the majority of his career in the SPHL as he’s played with the Evansville Thunderbolts, Fayetteville Marksmen, and Pensacola Ice Flyers. In 133 SPHL games, he’s put up 50 goals and 70 assists for 120 points. He’s added three goals and an assist for four points in six playoff games in the SPHL.
Robbie Stucker

Stucker, 26, began the season with the Orlando Solar Bears, where he had one assist in four games before being traded to the Reading Royals. In 46 games with the Royals, he put up a goal and 16 assists for 17 points. He would play in three games during the 2025 Kelly Cup Playoffs, but couldn’t find the scoresheet.
“Robbie is a great teammate, he skates well and can play in different roles,” stated Anthony Peters, Head Coach & General Manager. “I am excited to see him come in and see where he can take his game.”

The St. Paul, Minnesota, native was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft. In his three seasons in the ECHL, he’s spent time with the South Carolina Stingrays, Iowa Heartlanders, Orlando Solar Bears, and Reading Royals. He’s put up two goals and 43 assists for 45 points in 109 games. Prior to going pro, Stucker spent five years at the NCAA level. He would spend his first three seasons in his hometown playing at the University of Minnesota. In 79 games with the Golden Gophers, he put up two goals and 14 assists for 16 points. The Golden Gophers would capture a B1G Championship in 2021. Stucker would spend his final two years of eligibility at the University of Vermont. In 67 games with the Catamounts, he put up seven goals and 22 assists for 29 points.
