
Tulsa Oilers forward Reid Petryk is heading back overseas this time to Romania to join SC Csíkszereda in Erste Liga. In 62 games last season with Tulsa, he put up 17 goals and 28 assists for 45 points. He would add a goal and an assist in six games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Petryk is the fourth player from the Oilers to take the overseas route since the 2024-25 season ended.
North American Career
Petryk, 32, spent the first six seasons of his professional career playing in North America. The majority of his time came at the AHL level, where he put up 37 goals and 42 assists in 79 games while spending time with the Lake Erie Monsters, San Antonio Rampage, and Chicago Wolves.
The Edmonton, Alberta, native has also spent parts of three seasons at the ECHL level. During his time in the ECHL, he’s spent time with the Fort Wayne Komets, Idaho Steelheads, and Tulsa Oilers. He’s put up 36 goals and 58 assists for 94 points in 140 games. Petryk has three goals and five assists for eight points in 17 career Kelly Cup Playoff games.
International Career
In 2019, Petryk headed to Norway, where he put up six goals and two assists for eight points in 15 games with Frisk Asker. He would take the 2020-21 season off before staying in Norway, this time joining Ringerike. Petryk spent two seasons with Ringerike, where he put up 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points in 45 games.
Before returning to North America, the 6’1 forward spent a season in the EIHL with the Glasgow Clan. In 33 games with the Clan, he put up three goals and 10 assists for 13 points.
