Carson Musser is back Admirals fans.

The Norfolk Admirals announced today that they have re-signed defenseman Carson Musser to a standard player contract. Musser’s return marks a significant move as he becomes the team’s first defenseman to sign for the upcoming season.

He supplies leadership and really solidifies the nucleus and core of our team,” said Admirals head coach Jeff Carr. “He was arguably our best defenseman at the start of the season prior to his injuries.”

Despite battling injuries throughout last season, Carson Musser put up 13 points (4G, 9A) in 43 games. If Musser can maintain his health and form, there’s no doubt that he will make a significant impact on the Norfolk Admirals’ gameplay, and fans can expect an even more remarkable performance from him this year.

“I’m very grateful and excited to be back in Norfolk for the upcoming season,” said Musser. “ I can’t wait to be back in front of the best fans at The Scope.”

If he can stay healthy, Musser is set to solidify his position as one of the Admirals’ key players. And the “best fans” shoutout? He’s sure to be a fan-favorite.
