The Worcester Railers have announced that they’ve signed forward Riley Piercey for the 2025-26 season. Piercey, 23, split last season between the Bridgeport Islanders (AHL) and Worcester Railers (ECHL). In 37 games with the Railers, he would put up 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points. During his 20 games in Bridgeport, he put up one goal and two assists for three points. He was on an AHL contract in each of his first two seasons with the New York Islanders organization. Piercey is the seventh forward and 11th player signed by the Railers for the 2025-26 season. He is the sixth returning forward for Worcester. Heading into next season, Piercey should be a solid middle-six piece for the Railers, who have already brought back a solid core up front.

“I really didn’t have to look too far,” Piercey said. “It’s always nice to come back to a city that you’re familiar with, and a city that’s been awesome to me so far. I’m excited for the year and excited to get back into camp.”

In 95 games with the Colts, he put up 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points. Piecey would finish his OHL career by playing parts of three seasons with the Flint Firebirds. He would put up 57 goals and 92 assists for 149 points in 153 games with the Firebords. Piercey would add four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 25 OHL playoff games with the Colts. In both of his years with the Firebirds, he would finish in the top five in points.
