The Norfolk Admirals have announced that they’ve re-signed rookie forward Tanner Andrew for the 2025-26 season. Andrew, 25, joined Norfolk at the end of the regular season, putting up four assists in nine games, but was not named to the Admirals Kelly Cup Playoff Roster. He becomes the ninth forward and 13th player to join the Admirals for the 2025-26 season.

The Virden, Manitoba, native spent the majority of his junior career in the MJHL with the Virden Oil Capitals. Andrew would put 40 goals and 45 assists for 85 points in 119 games with the Oil Capitals. He would add two assists in eight playoff games with the Capitals. In his final year in Juniors, he would play in eight games with the Winkler Flyers, putting up four goals and four assists for eight points. He finished his junior career in the BCHL, putting up eight goals and five assists for 13 points in 20 games. During the 2019-20 season, he put up 25 goals and 30 assists for 45 points, earning him MJHL Second All-Star Team honors.

“Tanner Andrew is an interesting young player with good skating ability,” said Jeff Carr, Admirals General Manager & Head Coach. “He has quiet leadership abilities, but is looking to break out at center or right wing for us with scoring more goals this year, without sacrificing his overall game and usage on the penalty kill.”

The Tigers won back-to-back AHA Regular Season Championships in 2023 and 2024 before capturing an AHA Championship in 2024. Andrew served as the Tigers’ Captain during the 2024-25 season.
