Savannah Ghost Pirates forward Ross Armour has informed the team that he will be leaving in order to pursue other opportunities overseas. The team has suspended him to keep his ECHL rights. Armour is a 27-year-old forward who has played for the Ghost Pirates since the 2022-2023 season when he turned pro. The BC native has played in 95 ECHL games, recording 75 points (27 goals, 48 assists). Prior to turning pro, Armour played collegiately at Bemidji State University in Minnesota, where he was a teammate of Columbus Blue Jacket and Cleveland Monster forward Owen Sillinger. Throughout his collegiate career, he posted 67 points in 159 games, with 32 of those being goals. In his first professional season, the forward played in 15 games, tallying seven assists and a single goal.

This season, Armour has posted nearly a point per game, netting 16 goals and contributing another 16 assists. The Ghost Pirate forward has been sensational on the powerplay this season setting a Savannah single season record as of February 8 2025 with his 12th powerplay goal of the year. As of February 10, Armour was second on the team in goals with 16, trailing only Devon Paliani, who has a total of 18 on the season. The Ghost Pirates will definitely need to find a way to replace his production in the point column if they hope to climb the standings. Savannah currently sits in 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 44 points on the year and will be looking to improve on their win total.
