Deleted:
Matt Boudens, F, traded to Worcester Railers
Through 20 games with the Cyclones this season, Boudens scored only one goal, posting a -10 +/- stat. He will now head to Worcester, who is 9-14-1 on the season and has more promise than Cincinnati does to make the playoffs, sitting at fifth in the North Division standings.
Matt Murphy, D, traded to Tahoe Knight Monsters
Through 20 games this season with Cincinnati, Murphy scored two goals and tallied six assists, posting a -7 +/- stat. The Tahoe Knights, where he will be heading, are in a much better position than the Cyclones, holding a 15-6-1 record, third in the Western Conference standings, only trailing Kansas City and Toledo.
Robert Carpenter, F (Playing Rights) traded to Kansas City Mavericks
Zachary Tsekos, F (Playing Rights) traded to Kansas City Mavericks
Tristan Ashbrook, F loaned to Iowa Wild (AHL)
It’s possible that Ashbrook could make a return to Cincinnati from the AHL eventually, especially considering he has already played with the Cleveland Monsters earlier this season. During his time with Cincinnati, he has tallied an impressive five goals and five assists, placing him second on the team with ten points.
Added:
Pascal Laberge, F traded to Cincinnati Cyclones from Kansas City Mavericks
Laberge, a reliable two-way forward, has made contributions this season with the Kansas City Mavericks, scoring two goals and assisting on seven others. His offensive skills could provide a much-needed spark for the Cyclones, who are currently struggling with a record of 3-15-3. In 2016, Laberge was selected 36th overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round of the NHL Draft. He then spent two full seasons with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he recorded 20 points over that span. Afterward, he moved to the Maine Mariners for the 2021-2022 season, which turned out to be a breakout year, where he scored 40 points in 40 games. During the following season with the Kansas City Mavericks, he tallied 53 points in 53 games. He later returned to the Mavericks this season and recorded nine points in 25 games with them.
Elijah Vilio, D traded to Cincinnati Cyclones from Tahoe Knight Monsters
Villio has registered four assists this season while boasting an impressive +9 plus/minus rating. The 27-year-old defenseman has played for various teams throughout his professional career, including the Atlanta Gladiators, Rapid City Rush, Norfolk Admirals, Savannah Ghost Pirates, and the Tahoe Knight Monsters. His presence could be vital in bolstering the Cyclones’ defensive efforts, especially given that they have allowed a staggering 76 goals in just 21 games.
Chris Dodero, F traded to Cincinnati Cyclones from Tahoe Knight Monsters
Dodero has also made an impact for the Knight Monsters, contributing three goals and three assists this season. A native of West Chicago, Illinois, he has spent most of his professional career overseas in Europe, playing for clubs in Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Austria. This season marks his first in the ECHL, although it is not his first experience in North America. He previously played five seasons at American International College in the NCAA, serving as an Assistant Captain in his final two years. His skill set could help rejuvenate a Cyclones team that is in desperate need of turning their season around with this new influx of players.
