ECHL: Ryan Mahshie Staying With Worcester Railers for 2025-26

The Worcester Railers have announced that they’ve signed forward Ryan Mahshie for the 2025-26 season. Mahshie, 26, spent the 2024-25 season with the Orlando Solar Bears, Allen Americans, and Worcester Railers. He would put up four goals and four assists for eight points in 62 games. He had three goals and four assists for seven points in 43 games after being traded from Allen to Worcester. Mahshie becomes the ninth player to sign with the Railers for the 2025-26 season. He is the sixth player to return to the Railers after spending time with the team last season.

Ryan Mahshie spent his junior days with the Brooks Bandits in the AJHL, where he played for two seasons. In 107 games, he put up 43 goals and 42 assists for 85 points, as well as eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 25 playoff games. During the 2018-19 season, he would lead the Bandits with 34 goals as they went on to win the AJHL Championship.

“I can’t be more excited,” Mahshie said. “I love the group we have there, and playing for [Tuzzolino] is awesome. I really can’t wait to get back and be with the guys again and get going on the season.”

The Stoney Creek, Ontario, native would then play four years at the NCAA level with RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) and UConn. During his three years with the Pioneers, he would put up 24 goals and 21 assists for 45 points in 85 games. Mahshie would lead the Pioneers in goals (15) during his last year with the team. He would spend his final year of eligibility with the Huskies, where he had two goals and three assists for five points in 21 games.
