Savannah Ghost Pirates Left-handed Defenseman Peter Tischke has signed a one-year contract with the AHL Rochester Americans. Tischke has been off and on with the Americans since 2021.

Peter started his semi-professional career in the USHL with the Chicago Steel in 2013, he would play 116 games with two goals and 26 assists. He would leave the USHL to become an NCAA athlete with the University of Wisconsin playing for four seasons, his last with the Captain title. Amassing 135 games with eight goals and 26 assists.

Tischke would sign with the AHL Colorado Eagles in 2019, where he played five games and had one assist before joining the ECHL affiliate Utah Grizzlies for 51 games with four goals and 11 assists. He would play again with the Eagles for the 20-21 season, gathering 16 games during the COVID era with one goal and one assist.

Originally signing with the Rochester Americans in 21-22, he played 33 games before being sent down to the Cincinnati Cyclones for five, then joining them again in the 22-23 season for 24 games. During his time with the Americans, Peter would see the postseason playoffs twice, playing a total of eight games.

In 2023 Tischke would sign a one year AHL deal with the Henderson Silver Knights, and be assigned to the Ghost Pirates in the 23-24 season where he played 39 games with two goals and five assists.

With the Rochester Americans deal there is still a chance that Peter could still play in the ECHL however it would be with the Jacksonville Icemen as they are the affiliate for the Americans.
