Earlier today, the Savannah Ghost Pirates announced that they have signed forwards Tristan Amonte and Bryce Brodzinski to ECHL contracts for the upcoming season. With the signings of Almonte and Brodzinski, Savannah now has 11 forwards and sixteen players signed for the 2025-26 season.
Tristan Amonte
Tristan Amonte has spent the last four seasons playing at Boston University, where he appeared in 79 games, scoring five goals, adding four assists for nine points. Amonte’s most recent season was statistically his best, scoring four goals and two assists for six points in 38 games. Fans may recognize the last name Amonte as his father, Tony, spent 16 seasons in the NHL, tallying 900 points in his career before being inducted into the US Hockey Hall of Fame. Tristan is not Tony, though; Tristan will be looking to carve his own path, and that path runs through Savannah, where the rookie will hope to make an impact.
Bryce Brodzinski
Bryce Brodzinski will join Tristan Amonte in adding some pedigree to the Ghost Pirates locker room. Bryce’s brother Jonny is a fairly well-known commodity in the NHL, having spent several seasons with the New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings after being drafted in the 5th round.
Bryce has had plenty of accomplishments of his own, though, being drafted in the 7th round by the Philadelphia Flyers. Brodzinski spent his collegiate career playing at the University of Minnesota for five seasons and was nearly a point per game player for the last two seasons. After his collegiate career, Brodzinski made his professional debut last year, having spent time with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, where he played in 61 games. Once again, he was nearly a point per game player, contributing 50 points to the lineup. Brodzinski also appeared in eight games for Norfolk last year, scoring a goal and adding two assists during his time there.
