Savannah Ghost Pirates Defenseman Noah Carroll is leaving on a jet plane, and we don’t know when he will be back. He has signed a contract with the EIHL Manchester Storm and is officially heading overseas to compete for the 24-25 season.
Noah played five games for the Ghost Pirates in the last month of their inaugural season before signing an ATO contract with the Henderson Silver Knights, Savannah’s previous AHL affiliate. He would sign a one-year two-way contract and spend the rest of the season with the Silver Knights, playing four games in Henderson. During that first month of Noah’s professional career, he saw one goal, one assist in the ECHL, and one assist in the AHL. At the start of the second season, he would be assigned to Savannah, and Carroll would play 44 games with three goals and nine assists, with only 25 penalty minutes. With Noah’s two-way contract, he would be called to Henderson again in April of 2024, playing two games without scoring, finishing games with a -1 and a -2. In the 23-24 season, Noah would be named to the All-Star team in the ECHL.
Noah was a sixth-round draft pick for the Carolina Hurricanes in 2016 while playing in the OHL with the Soo Greyhounds. During his time with the OHL, Noah would see 256 games with 17 goals and 75 assists and see the post-season three out of the four seasons, gathering 43 games with three goals and five assists. After being drafted, he would play one more season with the OHL and Greyhounds before attending the University of New Brunswick, where he would play 87 games with one goal, 17 assists, 133 penalty minutes, a +/- of 48, and make it to the playoff for four years seeing a total of 12 games. Noah is one of a few who have chosen to head overseas this coming season, leaving Savannah with another roster hole to fill.
