ECHL Game Recap: Orlando Solar Bears vs Savannah Ghost Pirates | 11/26/2024

On November 26th, 2024, the Savannah Ghost Pirates faced off against the Orlando Solar Bears. These games are filled with intensity and physicality between the two rivals.

First Period was even strength for scoring between both teams. At less than at minute into the game, at :52, Nathan Staios earned his first goal of the season and it was unassisted when he shot the puck in past Alexis Gravel. Exactly 11 minutes later, Orlando’s Jaydon Dureau snapped one past Evan Cormier to even the score, with Spencer Kersten earning the helper. (1-1).

There was no scoring in the middle frame by either team but there were penalties taken:

8:13- Kelti Jeri-Leon- Bench Minor- Too Many Men

11:40- Nathan Staios- Hooking

16:01- Jimmy Mazza- Tripping

18:49- Zach Uens and Darik Angeli- Roughing

Going into the final frame, Savannah opened up scoring at :28, when Nicholas Zabaneh earned his fourth goal on the season and was assisted by Riley Hughes and Denis Cesana. At 8:43, Orlando’s Jarrett Lee answered back again on a lone goal on a two-minute power play caused by a penalty taken by Savannah’s Reece Vitelli for high sticking. Thirteen seconds into a power play at 13:38, Brayden Low earns his sixth goal on the season and scores off of the assist of Aaron Luchuk and Lee. This power play was triggered by Savannah’s Zabaneh taking a two-minute hooking penalty. At 14:51, Dureau earns his second goal of the night off of an assist from Kersten. At 18:40, Spencer Kersten shot the puck into Savannah’s Empty Net and it was a short handed goal.
