ECHL: Savannah Ghost Pirates: Josh Davies Earns Call-Up

On November 11th, 2024, Savannah Ghost Pirates announced that forward Josh Davies had earned a call-up to the AHL affiliate Charlotte Checkers.

This past weekend, Davies, who is all of 20 years old, netted two goals against opponent Idaho Steelheads in Savannah’s win Saturday night, 4-3. Last season, the Winger earned 61 points with WHL team Portland Winterhawks. He tallied 36 goals in the span of 55 games. He has already dressed in three games for the Charlotte Checkers this season.

Davies, who hails from Calgary, Alberta, was drafted in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers, 186th overall. Davies played five seasons with the Portland Winterhawks, along with the Swift Current Broncos. He gathered 78 goals and 62 assists in the span of 204 games. He also assisted the Winterhawks in their post-season run last season and tallied 11 points, with five goals and six assists. Davies participated in WJC-18 in 2021-2022 and played in three games with one assist.
